The
foundation of each KULUKIN 356EV and 550EV is a new powder coated full tubular frame. This
proprietary design is by Thunder
Ranch and is designed to insure proper chassis strength, reduce
weight, and maximum durability of each 356EV and 550EV. We never use old VW
pans or cumbustion engines.

SINETON - SDG is our proprietary construction of synchronous electric machines. Due to advantages of symmetrical dual gap topology, electric motors and generators with very high torque and power densities can be built. SDG construction enables compact and lightweight electric machines with high torque and power to weight ratios, high efficiency and low noise and vibration. These properties make them especially suitable for direct drive. enables the KULUKIN 356E Speedster to be classified as a "Super Car "!
In the case of the KULUKIN 356E, the engineering teams estimate that the car, if carefully driven, can get between 120-to-180 mpg; while using only 115-150 Whr per mile. The last part, Watt hours per mile, is important. Here's why.
The 9kWh Lithium-ion pack provides enough energy to propel the car at freeway speeds for about 150 miles or so -- a really exciting improvement.
In effect, you didn't burn a little over 5-7 gallons of gasoline($15-20) for the first 150 miles or so. Instead, you consumed something less than 9kWh of electricity. Why less than 9kWh? It's a safety and durability precaution so you won't fully discharge the battery and shorten its life. So, let's say you used 80% of the 9kWh. That's 14.2 kiloWatt hours.
Now comes the fun part. Let's say you live in a city where electricity costs you 10 cents a kilowatt hour. To travel that 150 miles, it cost you $1.42 compared to the current national average price of gasoline at about $3.20/gallon in the US (as of April 2, 2007). In effect, for the same $3.20, you could drive up to 300 miles -- on three successive days -- giving you the equivalent of 180 miles per gallon.
Nifty, don't you think? |
